Your First Meeting With Commercial Photographer
A commercial photographer has immense power in his or her hands. The power to attract people, to stimulate them and to move them to action. This power goes under utilised when the commercial photographer is not efficient enough to produce result oriented advertising photography. And that leads to wastage of money and time. And to avoid all that, it is very important to select a good and experienced commercial photographer.
When choosing a commercial photographer, make sure you meet the professional first. When you meet him or her, discuss what kind of projects has he or she been doing. Try to figure out if that kind of experience would be beneficial to your kind of campaign and product or target audience. Also do not forget to ask for a portfolio of all the work done by the photographer. A portfolio serves as a good insight into the capabilities and the experience of the photographer.
Having done your bit of research on the commercial photographer and choosing the one who will work for your project, it is time that you help and assist him with details. You can not expect a photographer to know your target audience as well as you know it. You can not expect him or her to know your product like you know it. So now it is time you familiarise your product and your target audience with your commercial photographer.
And you can do that by giving the commercial photographer a good brief. It is not necessary that the brief has to be long and verbose. The brief should be explicit and should sufficiently tell the photographer what is the product, who are the target audience and potential customers, who are the people who influence the buying decisions of the customers of the product and what is expected out of the commercial photographer.
